Services performed at open


1. Remove and store safety cover, thread down all deck anchors. 

2. Remove winterizing plugs, install baskets and return fittings. 

3. Inspect pool and equipment for damage. 

4. Prep, prime and start up pool equipment, ensure it is running properly to the best of our ability at time of opening.

5. Lubricate o-rings, tighten fittings and unions. 

6. Set up automatic cleaner. 

7. Set valves to proper positions for standard operation. 

8. Reinstall ladders and handrails. 

9. Add open chemicals (5 gal liquid chlorine). 

10. Advise pool owners of any concerns or care instructions. 


We will spend about 10-15 minutes blowing off the pool deck and netting debris out of the pool.

Do you clean the cover?  Cleaning the cover is not included.


Do you clean the pool at open? Cleaning is not included in the price of the open. 


What if the water is green at open? If the pool is green at opening, any chemicals and time cleaning needed to get the pool clear again are not included in the price for opening. It may take multiple visits to get the pool clear.


How long after open can I swim? Please plan to open your pool at least 3-10 days before you want to swim.


What chemicals are included?  5 Gal of liquid chlorine is included with the open.

DE for charging the filter is not included in the price.  We carry this with us and you can add for an additional fee.


What do I need to do to prepare for opening?  Please raise the water level to middle of the skimmer mouth.   Please provide a working water spigot and working electrical outlet.  Please provide access to the pool.  Please make sure the area is free from bees and other stinging insects.

If the cover has a cable over 10 ft there will be an additional charge of $50


Prices are for a standard 30k gallon pool, larger pools may be extra.


Extra pumps (ex.  for a waterfall) are an extra charge of $50/pump.

This does not include cleaner pumps, cleaner pumps are included.


If we are there for closing/opening and the water is not lowered/raised $65 fee

and we will have to reschedule service.

4. Add expansion bottles to skimmers.

7. Add winter chemicals (shock, stain & scale, winterizing powder for pH).

8. Advise pool owners of any concerns or care instructions.

Do you clean the pool before closing? Cleaning is not included in the price of the closing. 


What chemicals are included?  A closing kit, including stain prevention, pH balance, and shock is included with the closing.  


What do I need to do to prepare for closing?  Please lower water to 6 inches below the tile for a mesh cover and 2 inches below the tile for a solid cover, .   If the water level is not lowered before we arrive we may reschedule service and charge a $65 fee.

We highly recommend an automatic cover pump to keep the water from weighing down our cover and to protect your pool.
