A new home owner called us about fixing a pool that came with her property. The equipment had not been running for quite a while. This would be worst case where we could not save the water. The pool was drained entirely.
After draining the water there was still a thick green slime leftover. At this point we use a power washer and chemicals to remove the dirt stuck to the walls.
After the acid wash and draining out all the dirty water, the pool is ready for clean water. This process can take a while. Once the pool is filled we come back to balance the water.
Once the pool is filled we come back to balance the water. This process can take more then one visit. The new water and chemicals need to circulate for a day or two.
After a second visit to balance chemicals this pool is ready for swimming.
This pool had turned green when the the pump wasn't running. The more water moves the less likely it is to turn green.
You can see the slimy green algae caked on the steps. Even with the pool this green, we can still save the water. It will take multiple visits and extra chemicals. We will use chemicals to drop the algae to the bottom and then vac it out.
After the first treatment you can see a big difference. If you look closely you can see the difference between the part that has been cleaned and the part of the pool that hasn't.
After one treatment the color is looking better already. Here the water still isn't clear, so we use a second treatment.
Here you can see how clean the steps are after one treatment.
After the second treatment you can really see the difference. If you look closely you can see the difference between the part that has been cleaned and the part that hasn't.
Now the water is clean and clear and safe for swimming.
